The technology, explained

A UV conveyor for deeper-curing applications.

01 — OVERVIEW

The Gallium UV Conveyor is presented for white inks and applications requiring deeper UV curing. The reference configuration combines the lamp, reflector and transformer with blower cooling and AC frequency control of the conveyor.

Stepless intensity adjustment, lamp-current indication and lamp-hour monitoring are described. The ink formulation, film thickness and substrate determine the necessary exposure, so discuss the process with APL before selecting lamp output, conveyor speed and the connected printing equipment.
