01 — OVERVIEW

The Clamshell Mechanical Flat Screen Printer is an APL option for flat screen-printing work, with the source specifically identifying UV spot coating as an application. Two published maximum print areas are available: 20 × 30 and 30 × 40 inches.

The mechanical clamshell arrangement should be selected around the required image area and sheet handling. Discuss the screen frame, coating and curing process to establish an appropriate print-finishing setup.
